How I design for YOUR users
The agile and creative process.
Step 1: UX Understanding. (Listening to the problem.)
Have you really reached your products full potential?
Don't waste anymore valuable time and resources going in and out of meetings all day long.
Let's dig deep and get right to the bottom of it!
I'll use heuristic evaulations and proven methods to interview stakeholders so we can fully understand business objectives, user functional requirements, and discuss any technology constraints.
With my methods and workshops we can stay on target and be cognizant of unforseen problems or dilemas.

Team Role: Marketing Specialist, UI/UX Developer,
@ Community Resource Credit Union June 2008 - January 2011
Project Goal Summary
In June of 2008 CRCU had a website that looked straight from the 1990’s! Table design, HTML 4.0, and inline style sheets were deprecating. Adobe Flash was taking it's course on desktops but did'nt include the new mobile devices in the market. Our marketing team was tasked with creating a beautiful and easy to navigate website. Our goal was to target new memberships, increase loan revenue, and enage with our online audience.
Is it time to upgrade your technolgy? See how we did it...
Step 2: UX Empathy and Personas. (Design for your users!)
Putting product requirements in use means building and designing products your users will love to use!
No guessing, no games, no bull.
Let's empathize and understand our users needs and wants.
Heuristic analysis, Data, surveys, and facts will provide a clear picture of your users and their pain points.
By conducting user research we can discover hidden and lost value that's being left on the table.

Case Studies, Benchmark Data, & CX Research
Team Role: UX Developer @ The Health Museum Feb 2017 - Feb 2019
Project Summary
In late 2016 The Health Museum reached an all time low in patron attendance and public interest. THM wanted to rebrand, rebuild, and get a clear picture of the market. THM wanted to know what the organization could do to revive and create the best patron experience.
Do you know your customers? Click to learn more...
Step 3: UX Research and Discovery. (Give the people what they want!)
It's time to use all the data and feedback we collected to begin crafting our users journey.
We'll begin with a matrix map to create strategic user flow charts, wireframes, and clickable prototypes.
For fast wireframing and prototypes I use Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, and Moqups.
I can also use other heuristic methods to demostrate user flows.
I love hitting the bullseye and I don't settle for anything less less!

Case Studies, Benchmark Data, & CX Research
Team Role: UX Developer @ The Health Museum Feb 2017 - Feb 2019
Project Summary
The Health Museum wanted to conduct research to learn more about it's customers. Daily visitors and memberships were at an all time low so THM wanted to know what they could do to create an awesome patron experience. Several improvments were made in online aswell as physical space.
Step 4: User Interface Wireframing. (Rapid visual results with lo-fidelity prototypes.)
Now that we have a solid plan, let's callaborate and sketch these ideas and concepts out! I can quickly gather cruicial team feedback and apply concepts on the fly. This process method ensures we can meet and exceed product requirements.

Biorhythm Exhibit Website
Team Role: UX Developer, UI Developer, Fullstack Developer @ The Health Museum Feb 2017 - Feb 2019
Project Summary
THM needed to create a subdomain website to showcase a new exhibit attraction. This wordpress website needed to showcase 14 component attractions, deliver news, schedule public events, and purchase e-tickets. Additional digital media, email blast, and social media was used for marketing.
See how we did it...
Step 5: User interface Refined Mockups. (Bringing our masterpiece to life)
Once the low-fidelity mockups are approved by stakeholders and QA, We'll breath life into those static UI comps.
I'll create a Hi-fidelity intertactive prototype using Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Sketch, or any other industry standard program.
During this process we'll demo and test the clickable prototypes using Invision and provide documentation assets for programming.

Step 6: Finalize, Code, Testing. (Seamless & Agile Development)
Once the UX/UI demo is finalized and approved by stakeholders and QA, it's time to ship this off to developement.
Stop wasting valuable sprint time and resources in development!
As a fullstack developer I understand the frustration and setbacks of reworks, backlogs, and malpractices.
I can seamlessly prepare developer handoff kits, design system specs, libraries, assets and more.
During development I can also help guide developers to address concerns with product questions or specs.

Our goal was to target new memberships, increase loan revenue, and enage with our online audience.
My role
As a marketing specialist I collaborated with the senior vp of marketing and marketing director to revamp crcu.org. We worked closely with Digital Insight (An online banking platform) to implement a custom CMS and produce the website according to the latest web technolgy and brand standards.
The challenge:
How could we make our little credit union website look just as impresive like the big banks? Our team started with researching competitors website, profiling members data, wire-framing, mock-ups and hifi-prototyping.
Solution:
Apart from everything looking outdated, My knowledge of Gestalt theory, composition, and layout was challenge by overseeing the UI and UX development. We organized the information heavy content using the card sorting method so users can have a good user experience while quickly looking for products, services, calculators etc. For aesthetics, I used hyper realistic isolated imagery to create intuitive icons that resulted in quick and easy navigation.
Results:
Numerous full blown multi channel digital media campaigns (Email designs, social media, landing pages etc. ) drove record high analytics to the new redesigned crcu.org. With a new online user expereince, our Marketing team reached it's annual marketing goals and was able to surpase the highest CU assets in over 10 years. CRCU won 1st and 2nd place at the Credit Union National Association awards in marketing initiatives. Memberships, loans inquirys, and superceded annual marketing goals.

With so many types of people visiting the museum it was very difficult to understand the metrics of our primary customers. We narrowed our target audience to; mothers of young children, teachers, fieldtrips students, and medical students.
Solution: (How we met Sally?!)
When all the pieces came together, we finally met Sally! We also created personas and user stories for our other profiles.. We discovered The Health Museum needed more enaging and interesting topics. The top 4 topics were; The history of medical science, The body as art, The Texas Medical Center, and Popculture & Health. We knew it needed to be more interactive, fun, and have easy to understand high-level content like the nearby "Childrens Museum".
Results: (Got it done!)
The Health Museum listened and delivered 6 new exhilarating exhibits and had record breaking attendance over the next 2 years! In addition, the case study and deliverables were used to reformat the marketing website, online ticket sales platform, and social media presence. The museum was awarded an official partnership as a Smithsonian Affiliate. It was the first to recieve recognitive in the Houston area. I am so honered to be apart of that journey and help our surrounding communities.

CRCU June 2008 - January 2011
Project Goal
In june of 2008 CRCU had a website that looked straight from the 1990’s! Table design, HTML 4.0, and inline style sheets were deprecating. Adobe Flash was taking it's course on desktops but did'nt include the new mobile devices in the market. Our marketing team was tasked with creating a beautiful and easy to navigate website. Our goal was to target new memberships, increase loan revenue, and enage with our online audience.
My role
As a marketing specialist I collaborated with the senior vp of marketing and marketing director to revamp crcu.org. We worked closely with Digital Insight (An online banking platform) to implement a custom CMS and produce the website according to the latest web technolgy and brand standards.
The challenge:
How could we make our credit union website look just as impresive like the big banks?
With a new online user experience, our Marketing team reached it's annual marketing goals and was able to surpase the highest CU assets in over 10 years. CRCU won 1st and 2nd place at the Credit Union National Association awards in marketing initiatives. Memberships, loans inquirys, and superceded annual marketing goals.
